Maine TREE Foundation is pleased to announce that we have brought a well-known name in forest education onto our team on an interim basis to support Project Learning Tree.

Tom Mullin will serve as our Project Learning Tree Associate as we begin the search for a new team member to lead our educational efforts. He will be working to ensure the statewide presence of Maine Project Learning Tree for formal and non-formal educators as well as striving to keep the network of amazing facilitators connected to the work of the foundation and forest education in Maine.

Tom comes most recently from Unity College where he taught Parks and Forest Resources for over two decades. He has extensive work experience in the New England land trust community, state and local municipal park agencies, and national environmental and interpretive professional association. He has a BS in Horticulture and a Masters in Interpretive Services Management.

In this photo, you can see him taking part in one of his many hobbies, being a Maine black bear whisperer. (Though he humbly says he was just taking part in research with some of his students).

Those wishing to connect with Tom to discuss Maine Project Learning Tree or with interest in workshops or facilitator training can reach him at maineplt@mainetree.org.
