WATCH: A Harvest at the Holt

In the fall of 2020, a harvest occurred at our Holt Research Forest, a Tree Farm in Arrowsic, Maine.

In this video, you will hear from Maine TREE Executive Director Jonathan LaBonte and Holt Research Forest Scientist Jack Witham about the history of Maine TREE and the Holt Research Forest and the research opportunities this harvest will provide.

You will also learn how Forester Barrie Brusila of Mid-Maine Forestry and Logger’s Will and Don Cole of Trees Ltd work with landowners to implement a timber harvest designed to improve the overall health of the forest.
