The Maine Tree Farm Program will be celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2022! The Maine Tree Farm Committee is greatly looking forward to a year full of festivities and recognition of the over 1,400 Tree Farms that encompass over 400,000 acres of Maine’s forested lands and the hardworking Tree Farmers that steward them.
We are inviting all Maine Tree Farmers to share photos of their property for consideration in our “Maine Tree Farm Photo Contest,” which will start monthly in January of 2022! We will share these photos with a short blurb about the property and the owners on the Maine Tree Farm website, Facebook page, and the Maine TREE monthly e-newsletter.
Each photographer may submit a maximum of five photos total by the 2nd Friday of the month for consideration in that month’s newsletter. We encourage you to send high-resolution photos, however, scanned historical photos highlighting the history of your Tree Farm are also greatly appreciated!
Send your submissions to coordinator@mainetreefarm.org. When submitting your photos, please include your name, your Tree Farm name (if applicable), the location and acreage of your Tree Farm, along with your email address, age (if under 21), mailing address, and the month/time of year the photo was taken. Please feel free to also send any additional fun facts or history about your Tree Farm that you may wish to share.
