The Certified Logging Professional Program completed a successful Spring training season. Through 10 in-person and six virtual sessions, we recertified 262 loggers this Spring. In addition, three Initial Certification classes were held in Skowhegan, Lincoln, and Fort Kent and trained 18 new CLPs.
The new Certified Logging Professionals will receive a field inspection to complete the training process. These sessions trained Conventional Loggers, Mechanical Loggers, Supervisors/Contractors, and Associates. Each session featured an overview of the CLP program, safety topics, invasive insects, market trends, Stop the Bleed, directional felling, hazards and near misses, and more.
The program is scheduling site visits for recertified loggers and those interested in requesting a visit. If you would like to receive a site visit, please get in touch with us so we can set that up for you.
